Through a fictional but realistic case study, we followed Declan, a design engineer, and Steve, a service manager, as they tackled common challenges: speeding up hydraulic pump setup, keeping aging machinery productive, and maintaining uptime in 24/7 operations where downtime can cost six figures per hour.

The session highlighted Webtec’s proven “Make it BLUE” approach (Begin, Listen, Upgrade, Engineer) to solving customer problems. Attendees learned how permanent in-line flowmeters, data logging, and condition monitoring tools can cut test times from hours to minutes, predict pump or motor failures before they happen, and provide actionable insights for both engineers and operators.

We also explored practical steps—like visual management tools, tailored instrumentation for harsh fluids, and the importance of hands-on training—that ensure teams can get the most from their systems.
