About the role: 
We are looking for an apprentice to join our Advanced Engineering Manufacturing Apprenticeship programme this summer. The programme has a specific focus on operating, setting and programming robot loaded CNC milling and turning machines. The apprenticeship will last approximately 3 ½ years and will include a day-release college course plus comprehensive in-house training with continuous assessment and a mentorship programme covering the following areas:-

• Workplace health and safety
• Use of manual mills and lathes
• Reading drawings
• Team work and communications
• Understanding tooling and machining practices
• Working to ISO9001 procedures
• IT skills including using spreadsheets, word-processor and manufacturing ERP system
• Component measurement and inspection
• Operating CNC machines
• Setting CNC Machines
• Programming CNC Machines

You will need meet the following requirements:

• Level 4 or above in Maths and English
• Must have a genuine interested in engineering and therefore willing to commit to this apprenticeship training
• Good IT skills
• Good attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Punctual
• Reliable
• Organised and Tidy
