Webtec continues to invest in manufacturing with addition of a new machine tool to make parts for their hydraulic measurement and control products

This latest investment follows the success of Webtec’s first Star CNC sliding-head lathe purchased about five years ago. Stephen Cuthbert, Operation’s Director commented, “We felt the first Star lathe had been an excellent choice, reducing cycle times on key components and decided that a second similar machine would be an ideal replacement for a much older lathe”.

The new Star lathe was installed in late October and is used to manufacture a wide variety of piece parts. These are fitted in Webtec’s ranges of hydraulic flow and directional control valves, oil flow indicators and turbine flow meters that are used by customers worldwide for applications such as; hydraulic control, oil condition monitoring and hydraulic diagnostic fault-finding.

The Star SR32J, was supplied and commissioned by Star Micronics GB.
