Webtec is joining more than 70 exhibitors at the forthcoming NFPC (National Fluid Power Centre) Industry Open Day on 20th February 2019. Now in its 7th year, the event takes place in the association’s centre in Worksop, with its ‘world class’ training facilities on show and a packed programme of technical lectures.
In addition to its latest range of hydraulic components and hydraulic test equipment, Webtec will be launching its new guide for all fluid power technicians - ‘An Introduction to Practical Hydraulic System Maintenance’. Co-authored by industry experts Steve Skinner and Webtec’s Managing Director Martin Cuthbert, the guide is endorsed by the NFPC, and is an invaluable tool aimed to help educate technicians and engineers new to hydraulic fluid power maintenance and hydraulic engineers.
The guide can be ordered direct from Amazon. Costing £34.99, it features over 240 pages and 200 colour illustrations and has been endorsed by other key organisations including the British Fluid Power Association, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, British Valve and Actuator Association and the Construction Equipment Association.
All profits made from the book will be donated to support STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programmes such as the ‘Fluid Power Challenge’ run by the charity Primary Engineer in the UK and set up to help encourage the next generation of engineers in schools.
“This is a great opportunity for our team to network with customers and peers in our industry and as our new guide has been endorsed by the NFPC we are excited to be launching it at this event”, commented Martin Cuthbert, Wabtec’s Managing Director.
