Formerly established by the Machinery Ministry of China in 1989 and held every other year since then, Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (hereafter referred to as BICES) has grown from what was originally a domestic new products and new technology show to be one of leading international trade fairs for construction, building and mining machinery in Asia, with BICES 2013 having more than 1000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions and 100,000 visitors.

Visitor Distribution
More than 100,000 visitors from over 100 countries and regions visited BICES 2013, out of which domestic visitor took up 90% with half of domestic visitor coming from north China.
