Webtec, the Cambridge (UK) based hydraulic measurement and control manufacturer, have appointed Hydraulic Specialties Ltd – HYSPECS, in New Zealand as their authorised distributor. The appointment came about following a number of visits by Steve Thorpe, Webtec’s International Sales Manager, following the decision by the previous distributor, John Best of BRITEST to retire after 30 years representing Webtec in New Zealand. 

Martin Cuthbert, Webtec’s MD, said, “We are very keen to continue to support and grow our loyal customer base in New Zealand and following extensive market research we are very pleased to be working with HYSPECS, they are a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company, that truly understand the needs of their market, have fantastic knowledge of hydraulics and offer national coverage with 24/7 support. The handover from BRITEST to HYSPECS has been very smooth and we wish John all the best in his retirement”.

Richard Krebs, CEO of HYSPECS was presented with his authorised Webtec distributor certificate by Steve Thorpe on 4th February in Auckland, New Zealand. Also in the photo are Albert Wang, Technical Manager and Damon McCarthy, Purchasing Manager.
