In line with Webtec’s successful strategy to expand its global Authorised Service Centres, Talleres Lucas in Santiago Chile, has been appointed for South America.

With over 50 years’ experience in the hydraulic market, Talleres Lucas offers high-quality design and service facilities to its customers. The company has been an authorized distributor for Webtec for more than 20 years and already has a first class test rig in place. This long and successful relationship, together with the companies established service facilities and excellent industry reputation makes them the ideal choice for this new venture.

The new service centre is kitted with the same testing equipment, both hardware and software, and an identical data acquisition system as used by Webtec. Webtec’s International Sales Manager, Steve Thorpe, has implemented a full training programme and audit to ensure the team are fully experienced and qualified. Software updates will be carried out via the cloud system which will ensure that this new Authorised Service Centre will mirror Webtec’s own testing centres.

The agreement is part of Webtec’s global strategy to offer the same high level of service and support to customers through specially selected partners who have the same business and technical values in areas where there is no Webtec owned facility.

Steve Thorpe, commenting on the agreement said, “this latest Authorised Service Centre strengthens the network of support that we offer our global customers and will complement our existing Authorised Service Centres in the UK, US, and Australia. Located in Santiago, Talleres Lucas is ideally placed to offer our South American customers the great level of service that they deserve”.
