Hydraulic engineers in need of an in-line flow control valve to regulate motor or cylinder speed on construction and agricultural machinery applications need look no further than Webtec’s VFD range of hydraulic flow control valves.
The range consists of three models the VFD50, VFD120 and VFD190 rated for inlet flows up to 50 lpm (13 gpm), 120 lpm (32 gpm) and 190 lpm (50 gpm) respectively and all rated up to 420 bar (6000 psi). The VFD120 and VFD190 have recently been introduced and both have a 66% higher operating pressure and much lower pressure drop than the existing Webtec 2FV2V series which is scheduled to be withdrawn in June 2018. Thanks to their new and more efficient design the VFD120 and VFD190 can reduce heat generation in the hydraulic circuit, which is a common and undesirable side-effect of flow control valves, by over 50%.
Aimed at applications such as controlling the speed of operation of hydraulic hammers, crushers, screeners, spreaders and conveyors the VFD series of three-port variable priority flow divider is nearly immune to rapid changes in load, with adaptive pressure compensation enabling both the regulated and by-pass flows to be used to drive separate circuits.
The VFD has a single turn knob to smoothly control the flow even under full pressure and provides the operator with clear visual feedback of the flow setting. All VFD valves are available in multiple sizes depending on the regulated flow range required and can be specified with BSPP or SAE ports. The VFD120 is also available with remote control.
