Applications now open for 2023 ARKWRIGHT Engineering Schlorarships

The search is on for the next generation of engineering talent, with applications now open for students to apply to the esteemed Arkwright Engineering Scholarship programme. Webtec is proud to sponsor the Roy Cuthbert Arkwright scholarship in memory of Webtec’s founder.

Now in its 30th year, this fully sponsored Arkwright scholarship aims to give young people from all backgrounds the chance to experience the exciting world of engineering. Students apply for the scholarship in Year 11 (England and Wales), S4 (Scotland) or Year 12 (Northern Ireland), undertaking a rigorous selection process where they must showcase their passion for engineering and their potential as a future leader.

BENEFITS FOR SCHOLARS
Arkwright Engineering Scholars benefit from a range of enrichment opportunities to support their journey into engineering, including:

  • A £600 financial bonus to fund technical or curriculum-based projects, the purchase of equipment and additional courses.
  • Professional mentoring and networking opportunities with industry experts, providing practical advice and guidance with technical projects, further study and career pathways.
  • Nationally recognised Scholarship certification to enhance university and apprenticeship applications.
  • A £400 donation to schools of successful applicants, which they can utilise for STEM events and resources to benefit students.
