Webtec are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join our Operations team to support the Machine Shop and Assembly departments in meeting our vision of improving the performance of hydraulic machinery worldwide.

As the Production Operative, you will support assembly and the machine shop to enable them to meet their deadlines. Tasks to ensure this happen are many and varied but include conducting finishing work in the machine shop, producing sub-assemblies for the assembly team, build and test basic finished products, managing raw material deliveries including unloading, booking in and storage and emptying swarf bins when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deburring, cleaning, tumble and drilling components
• Assisting with centreless grinding.
• Building sub-assembly and building and testing basic finished products.
• Emptying swarf bins, unloading raw materials and loading goods for despatch.
• Using IT systems such as our ERP, to book in materials & sub-contracted jobs and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
• Complete all associated documentation and ensure compliance with ISO9001 procedures.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Good manual dexterity
• Good IT and communication skills
• An ability to work with minimal supervision.
• A great work ethic and self-motivation
