Like many manufacturers, we have experienced first-hand the skills shortage in our industry. This is one of the reasons why we are committed to increasing the knowledge and skills of our colleagues, customers and the wider community through our Webtec Outreach activities.  

Recently, we visited Cambridge Regional College’s Strategic Partner Event to attend the launch for this new initiative. A select number of local mixed businesses were invited to become partners following their commitment to working with the college and helping students to choose and go on to have successful careers.

Webtec is proud to be selected as a partner and we will continue to promote and further our strategic relationship in order to increase knowledge and awareness of hydraulic measurement and control career opportunities, within the construction, agricultural and industrial sectors to attract and nurture new talent to benefit Webtec and the students of CRC.

Cambridge Regional College reported on the event, “a fantastic morning celebrating the employers that make such a significant contribution to the success of our students. Our Strategic Partner Event was an opportunity to recognise those employers who go above and beyond in supporting the college with industry placements, guest speakers, apprenticeships, workshops, careers activities, curriculum development and much more.   Together, these employers help us bridge the gap between education and industry to develop the workforce of tomorrow.
