Technology never stands still and neither does the constant need by companies to upgrade and invest in the latest IT equipment. But what do you do with that obsolescent equipment without adding to the growing amounts of technology waste?  Here at Webtec we’ve found the perfect way to recycle and invest back into the community.  

Any kit in working order, is first wiped clean and then sent off to ‘Ramco Surplus Sorted’ where it is auctioned and recycled for reuse. This applies to all equipment from auxiliary peripherals to main servers and everything in between.

This not only helps the companies who purchase the kit, as they don’t need to buy new equipment, but the proceeds raised by Webtec is given to the local St Ives Food Bank.  To date, from just two auctions, £500 has been raised and there will be more in the future.

So, by recycling, Webtec is helping the environment and local community, which is a positive outcome for everybody.
