Webtec launches new range of hydraulic gear flow meters

This month, February 2016, we are launching a brand new range of high-pressure stainless steel hydraulic gear flow meters that not only offer exceptional accuracy and repeatability for low flow hydraulic testing and lubrication monitoring applications, but are also incredibly easy to specify and install.

Since the GF series is a positive displacement style meter, it is virtually unaffected by changes in viscosity, meaning its ideal for use on applications with wide temperature and/or viscosity swings, very high viscosity fluids, very low flows and can even be used on oceanic fluids in harsh environments.

The new GF series is aimed specifically at the hydraulic and lubrication market, not the process industry, so all products are designed and calibrated for use on oils, or phosphate-esters or water-glycols. Typical applications include precision measurement of leakage flows on a hydraulic component test bench, monitoring the flow of lubricating oil to a bearing on a wind turbine or measuring the flow of bio-degradable hydraulic fluid on an offshore oil rig.

Since hydraulic circuits are often prone to regular pressure spikes, the new GF gear flow meters are rated up to 420 bar (6000 psi) maximum operating pressure, and also have a safety factor of over three, unlike many process meters, for complete peace of mind.

Product selection and installation is made easy as all meters come complete with the transducer pre-fitted, linearized and pre-programmed, fully traceable certified test results and the option of suitable connecting cables. The GF series uses an all stainless steel construction and comprises three sizes covering the range 0.1 to 150 lpm (0.03 to 40 US gpm) and offers excellent accuracy of better than 0.5% of the indicated reading with both frequency (Pulse) and mA signal outputs available on all units.

The GF series is available to order now, please click here to watch the product video and download technical details.
