Terry Smith has joined our Webtec team as Production Control Manager. Based at the St. Ives facility he will be responsible for ensuring the assembly departments run safely and efficiently while developing a CI and empowerment culture. He will be working with suppliers and sub-contractors to develop a better partnership and supply chain.
Terry brings many years’ experience in manufacturing and this is his first role working in the hydraulics and measurement control industry. He is looking forward to working with the teams to developing a culture where everyone wants to be involved, improving ‘On Time in Full and Right First Time’.
Outside of work, Terry has lots of hobbies and interests which includes football (Dad taxi), cricket, collecting music vinyl and CDs, going to gigs and working on producing albums for his friend’s band. He has over 30,000 tracks stored on two digital jukeboxes. He also claims to be ‘pretty good at cutting grass’.
On joining the Webtec team, Terry commented, “what attracted me to take the role here at Webtec was the feeling of integrity and honesty the company shows to its employees. The values reflect mine and the fact that everyone is important in the business really counts”.
